Frameless shower screens
10mm toughened glass, minimal hardware and nothing to interrupt the tiling — measured to your bathroom, made in Minchinbury and fitted by our own glaziers.
A frameless screen is the glass and very little else: heavy toughened panels held by a few clamps or hinges and, where the layout needs it, a single support bar. There is no channel around the edge to trap water or grime, so the tiling reads right through it. It is the style most people ask for in a new bathroom or a full renovation.
Because there is no frame to take up the difference, a frameless screen has to fit the opening exactly. We measure after the tiling and waterproofing are finished, cut the panels in our workshop to that measurement and install them with hardware chosen for the specific layout.

When frameless is the right choice
Frameless works best when the walls are close to plumb and the floor has a proper fall to the waste, which is normal in a new or recently renovated bathroom. It is the most open-feeling option in a small room, because the eye does not stop at a frame line.
If the bathroom is older and the walls are noticeably out of square, a semi-frameless or framed screen can take up the difference more gracefully. We will tell you which one suits the opening when we measure.

What affects the price
Three things: the number and size of the panels, the hardware finish, and whether the layout needs any custom cuts or a return panel. Matte black and brushed gold hardware cost more than chrome. We give you a fixed written price after the measure, including removal of the old screen.
Keeping it looking new
Squeegee the glass after each shower and it will stay clear for years. Leave the silicone to cure for 24 hours before the first shower. If you want less cleaning, ask about the protective coating at installation.

How thick is the glass on a frameless screen?
We use 10mm toughened safety glass. The weight is what lets the panels stand with so little hardware.
Will a frameless screen leak?
A correctly measured and installed screen, on a floor with the right fall, keeps water inside the shower. Door seals and a sweep along the bottom edge close the gaps that a frame would otherwise cover.
Can you fit frameless before the tiling is finished?
No — we measure and install after waterproofing and tiling are complete, because the screen has to fit the finished surfaces exactly.
How long does it take?
Most screens are ready about a week after the measure, and installation takes a few hours.
Do you remove the old screen?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the existing screen is included in the quote.
